CFD (Computational Fluid Dyamics) enables simulating local internal and external fluid dynamics in process equipment, and also makes it possible to solve heat exchange issues.
By using dedicated software, CFD solves the descriptive equations of fluid dynamics, namely, the Navier-Stokes equations, surpassing the technological limits derived from simplifications linked to the analytic solutions of these functions.
In this regard, CFD is a complementary branch to experimental and theoretical fluid dynamics, which through alternative and more economical methods enables testing the movement of system fluids, even in conditions that would otherwise make every other type of measurement impossible or extremely difficult.
CFD provides better results in relation to the single experimental fluid measurement; a competitive advantage that has become even more important thanks to the greater accessibility of technologies and skills.
